In 1998, owner Aaron Long, went to work on a 358 sprint car
driven by Eric Stambaugh. Through this teams crew chief,
engine builder Jeff Brown, Aaron met Jeffs father, Hall of
Fame engine builder Davey Brown Sr. and friendship was struck
forever.
In 2001 Aaron went to work part time for a local engine
machine shop and began building his first 358 limited sprint
engine for himself to run. Later that year he purchased a
rolling sprint car and put together a race team.
In 2004 at Lincoln Speedway Aaron captured 5 heat race wins
and his first Main event win with one of his own creations
under the hood. That year the desire became embeded to become
fully self employed building racing engines.
In 2007 construction began on a building exclusively designed
for engine dyno testing. The former race shop, adjacent to the
dyno building, was turned into a station for cylinder head
porting, engine assembly, and storage for a large water tank
used by the dyno brake absorber.
2010 is looking prosperous, with our dyno room fully
functional, our exclusive testing capabilities are allowing us
to stay on top of the ever changing technology involved with
racing engines. ALHP has been working very hard to remain a
mid sized, custom engine shop. No "cookie cutter" engines
available here. Call and speak with Aaron to start discussing
a new application that will not only make you go faster, but
help you keep money in the bank as well. That"s our goal, to
build you more horsepower, without spending more than you need
to. |
